2 new lounges are coming to America’s second-busiest airport

One of the busiest airports in North America is getting two exciting new lounges.

Plaza Premium announced on Monday that it would open two lounges at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) early next year.

The lounges will both be located in DFW’s Terminal D, making this terminal one of the undisputed leaders in terms of airport lounge variety.

The nicer of the two lounges will be known as the Plaza Premium First outpost.

While details are light, the operator is teasing personalized service as a core feature of this new outpost.

Travelers should also expect a more comprehensive dining experience in this lounge, as well as more “indulgent amenities.”

In addition to the outpost mentioned above, Plaza Premium will open another standard lounge at DFW.

This location will join the existing facility in Terminal E, which opened in 2020 as Plaza Premium’s first lounge in the U.S.

Travelers can expect similar amenities to what you’ll find in the existing Terminal E outpost, as well as at other Plaza Premium lounges, including the one in Orlando, which is one of my favorites.

What’s next for Plaza Premium Lounges

Plaza Premium says it’s especially excited about the two openings in DFW, given that the airport is home to the company’s regional American headquarters.

DFW’s Terminal D is also home to an American Express Centurion Lounge, Capital One Lounge, American Airlines Flagship Lounge and The Club DFW.

Plaza Premium says it will share access rules, design details, and renderings as the opening date approaches next year.

If history is any telling, travelers should be able to use at least the regular lounge with a Priority Pass Select membership or premium American Express or Capital One credit cards.

In addition to the new outposts in DFW, Plaza Premium plans to open two new common-use lounges in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) inside the new Terminal One.

Plaza Premium will open one lounge at JFK past security and another landside — a rare arrivals lounge for a U.S. airport.
