The doors to the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) are officially open.

The issuer will welcome flyers beginning Thursday, July 16, right in the middle of peak summer travel season.

Chase’s latest airport outpost has been worth the wait. The space measures more than 18,000 square feet and introduces a few first-for-Chase amenities, including a whiskey bar and Peloton programming.

Better yet, this opening makes DFW home to the ultimate lounge trifecta — outposts from all three major card issuers (Amex, Capital One, and now Chase) under one roof.

Read on for everything you need to know about the lounge, and why it might just be the best credit card outpost at DFW.

Chase Sapphire Lounge Dallas/Fort Worth location

The new Chase Sapphire Lounge in DFW sits in Terminal D near Gate D25.

The location works well for Terminal D flyers, and the Skylink train can shuttle you between terminals in a few minutes if you’re departing elsewhere. (The Amex Centurion Lounge and Capital One Lounge are also in Terminal D.)

If you’re originating in DFW without checked bags, I’d suggest clearing security in Terminal D and walking straight to the lounge.

You’ll find the entrance next to the D30 TSA checkpoint, across from Michael Kors and Kate Spade.

The lounge opens daily at 5 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m.

Chase Sapphire Lounge Dallas/Fort Worth access

The DFW outpost inherits the same access policies as the rest of the network.

Namely, primary and authorized cardmembers of the Chase Sapphire Reserve® can enter the lounge at no additional cost and bring up to two guests. Note that you’ll need to have the (complimentary) Priority Pass associated with the card to enter the lounge.

Additional guests beyond the two included cost $27 per person. (Children two and under are free.)

Those with the J.P. Morgan Reserve card or the Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card (no longer available to new applicants) can also use the lounge with the same rules, though the latter card includes unlimited guest access.

All information about the J.P. Morgan Reserve card and the Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card has been collected independently by From the Tray Table. The J.P. Morgan Reserve card and the Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card are no longer available through From the Tray Table.

Priority Pass members, including those from other credit cards, can visit one Chase Sapphire Lounge per calendar year for free. Additional entries cost $75 per person, including guests.

If you’re considering a Sapphire-branded card, lounge access is a key differentiating factor with the Chase Sapphire Reserve®. As the lounge portfolio keeps expanding, the $795 annual fee gets easier to stomach.

Chase Sapphire Lounge Dallas/Fort Worth layout

The first impression is a strong one.

You enter at the departures level and pass through a small, dimly lit hallway that leads to the reception desk.

After you show your credentials, you’ll move into a small transition area with two elevators up to the main lounge.

Downstairs also has a couch and a few grab-and-go picks — a first for the Sapphire network — but I wouldn’t camp out here.

ZACH GRIFF

Upstairs is where the space opens up. The main lounge follows a rectangular layout with ample seating along the perimeter.

ZACH GRIFF

From couches to recliners, there’s an abundance of options across the 18,000 square feet.

Floor-to-ceiling glass windows line one side, but they only look onto the check-in area. At least the setup lets in natural light.

ZACH GRIFF

Turn left after exiting the elevator, and you’ll find the main relaxation space, with a central banquette and seating arranged around the library and a faux fireplace.

The signature bar sits a few stairs up from the relaxation space. It looks luxurious, but the biggest surprise is waiting just behind it.

That’s where you’ll find the whiskey lounge — more on that below, but even non-drinkers will appreciate this as the most inviting relaxation area in the outpost.

ZACH GRIFF

Keep going down the main thoroughfare, and you’ll reach the dining room with a buffet and a variety of table configurations.

Past the dining room is a narrow hallway with the family room, plus a bunch of solo recliners and chairs facing the glass windows. My money’s on this being the quietest area in the lounge.

At the far end — back near the elevators — you’ll find the wellness spaces.

Chase Sapphire Lounge Dallas/Fort Worth dining

Chase lounges shine when it comes to food, and this new DFW outpost is no exception.

ZACH GRIFF

There’s a signature buffet with rotating breakfast and all-day choices. You can also order a handful of made-to-order plates and drinks using the QR codes at each seat.

ZACH GRIFF

Chase tapped popular local restaurant Encina to curate a Texas-themed menu with a broader American influence.

Highlights include blue corn butterscotch pancakes in the mornings and a slab bacon dish with cheddar grits in the afternoons.

ZACH GRIFF

I enjoyed the cauliflower and the sweet potato and black bean mole during my visit.

ZACH GRIFF

On the drinks side, the issuer tapped local Cherry Coffee to provide the lounge’s brew.

As with every other Sapphire Lounge, this one features a curated wine list from Parcelle, signature and regionally inspired cocktails, and beers from Texas breweries.

ZACH GRIFF

The most unique area in this outpost is the dedicated whiskey lounge. Beyond being a great place to relax, it features a whiskey cart stocked with local Texas pours and a custom barrel selection exclusive to the lounge.

ZACH GRIFF

You can order pours off the special menu, and your drink arrives with a paired snack — cacao nibs or chocolate pralines, for instance.

The second most unique experience is the grab-and-go fridge next to the reception desk. This is Chase’s first foray into takeaway food, and it’s a nice touch I hope gets rolled out across more outposts soon.

ZACH GRIFF

During the preview, the fridge was stocked with salads, sandwiches, hummus cups, and hard fruits.

There are three beverage stations throughout the lounge — one near the dining room, one near the library, and a smaller one in the whiskey lounge. Here you can grab a Spindrift, juice, water, or coffee.

Chase Sapphire Lounge Dallas/Fort Worth amenities

The amenity list is long.

Before you start exploring, it’s worth scanning a QR code to reserve your preferred amenity before the waitlist fills up.

The list starts with two of the issuer’s signature rest pods.

ZACH GRIFF

You can also book free 15-minute Face Haus facials while inside. There are two treatment rooms.

ZACH GRIFF

Then there are the two well-appointed shower suites, stocked with Apotheke products. (The flooring in these suites is a standout.)

On the wellness front, Chase is debuting a new Peloton offering at this outpost that’ll soon expand across the network. After scanning the QR code, you can stream specially designed Peloton stretches and meditations on your phone or tablet.

You won’t find a dedicated yoga or wellness studio to practice the moves in, though.

ZACH GRIFF

There’s one small phone booth next to the wellness area.

The basics are covered, too.

Gender-specific restrooms sit at the end of the dining area. There’s also a single-use restroom (stocked with an infant-changing table and other family amenities) just before the dining room.

Power outlets and complimentary Wi-Fi are available throughout.

Chase Sapphire Lounge Dallas/Fort Worth parting thoughts

Chase’s new DFW lounge is a welcome addition to one of the nation’s biggest airports.

It boasts a gorgeous design, several first-for-Chase amenities, and an impressive dining offering.

Now that DFW’s Terminal D is home to Amex, Capital One, and Chase lounges, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

But the savviest travelers should choose Chase. It’s the largest outpost by more than 5,000 square feet, with the most extensive dining menu and the best amenities of the bunch.

Now the question is whether Amex’s renovated and expanded DFW Centurion Lounge can top it when it debuts next year.
